DO YOU FOLLOW THE GLUTEN-FREE OATS PURITY PROTOCOL?
Safety is a top concern for us at Canyon Bakehouse. Our co-founder Christi Skow was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in 2007, so ensuring we are baking with gluten-free ingredients is very personal for us. We always want to be sure that we are bringing safe ingredients into our dedicated gluten-free bakery. When we first decided to make a gluten-free honey oat bread, one of our biggest concerns was ensuring that our oats were completely safe from cross-contamination. So, we researched suppliers extensively and opted to buy our oats from the company that created the gluten-free oat purity protocol. They do not process or work with any gluten containing ingredients and follow strict guidelines to ensure that they are clean throughout their entire supply chain from seed stock to farmers and equipment, facility, handling and inspections. They govern their process very seriously and are third-party certified and inspected by Celiac Sprue Association (CSA) and Gluten Intolerance Group (GIG). We want you to know that we are truly dedicated gluten-free, so no gluten ingredients ever enter our building. We have a zero gluten standard at Canyon Bakehouse.
WHAT’S THE DEAL WITH THE NEW STAY-FRESH PACKAGING? HOW LONG DOES IT STAY FRESH?
Our stay-fresh packaging is a new air-tight package that keeps our loaves fresh (when secure in their sealed package) for up to 90 days after they are packed at our bakery. Once you open the package, we recommend using the bread over the next 7-10 days.
WHAT’S THE BENEFIT OF THE STAY-FRESH PACKAGING?
The stay-fresh packaging is convenient because you can buy loaves and keep them in your pantry for longer periods of time. No need to fill up your freezer if you want extra loaves on hand. You’ll have a fresh, soft loaf when you need it! The new packaging is also great for travel as you can pop a sealed loaf into your bag and open and enjoy when you reach your destination. You won’t have to fret about finding a store on vacation that carries Canyon Bakehouse, because you can take our loaves with you!
HOW DOES THIS NEW STAY-FRESH PACKAGING WORK? ARE THERE PRESERVATIVES?
In order to offer baked goods that last longer on shelf, we worked a little magic by combining new high-tech air-tight packaging with slight variations in our recipes. Our bakers created slight adjustments in the recipes that work really well with our new packaging, while leaving our classic recipes untouched for those who want to buy their current favorites. We continue to use wholesome, natural ingredients that you would use in your own kitchen. And, like all Canyon Bakehouse baked goods, you won’t find any preservatives or artificial flavors, colors or sweeteners.

ARE YOU A DEDICATED GLUTEN-FREE BAKERY?
Yes! The best way to ensure that gluten is not in our products is to make sure it does not enter our building.
WHAT INGREDIENTS DO YOU USE IN YOUR PRODUCTS?
100% whole grains are the core of our products. All of our products are free from gluten, dairy, nuts (tree nuts & peanuts) and soy and are made using the highest-quality ingredients. All of our ingredients and nutrition facts are located on the products page of our website for your convenience.
ARE YOU CERTIFIED GLUTEN FREE?
Yes! We are Certified Gluten Free through the Gluten-Free Certification Organization (GFCO).
ARE YOUR PRODUCTS GMO-FREE?
Yes! We do not use GMOs (genetically modified organisms). We understand the importance of real food with wholesome, clean ingredients and strive to source the best possible ingredients for you and your family.
ARE YOUR PRODUCTS KOSHER PARVE?
Yes! All of our gluten-free products are Kosher. Our gluten-free breads, buns, bagels and muffins are certified by the Orthodox Union and is represented on our packaging by a Circle U symbol.
DO YOU USE SESAME SEEDS?
Our products and facility are 100% sesame free.
DO YOUR PRODUCTS CONTAIN OTHER ALLERGENS?
Our products are also free from dairy, nuts (tree nuts and peanuts), soy, corn, and casein. NOTE: We do use eggs in all of our products.
WHAT DOES 100% WHOLE GRAIN MEAN?
It means not using refined flours. Instead, we utilize the whole grain, allowing our products to be full of the wonderful nutrients naturally found in these grains.

WHAT IS THE SHELF LIFE OF YOUR PRODUCT?
We recommend that you store our gluten-free breads at room temperature and enjoy within 7-10 days OR freeze the product for up to 3 months until ready to consume.
Our Stay-Fresh products (with the inner air-tight packaging) is good for up to 90 days after it’s left the bakery. Check the bread closure tag to find the ‘best by’ date for these items.
HOW DO I STORE CANYON BAKEHOUSE PRODUCTS?
Whether you buy the breads fresh from the bread aisle or the freezer, Canyon Bakehouse products can be stored at room temperature (i.e. on your counter) for 7-10 days. If you don’t plan to eat the breads right away, you can store them in your freezer for up to 3 months. Storing in the refrigerator helps to slow mold growth, but will cause the product to dry out and become stale quicker.
CAN I VISIT YOUR BAKERY?
Unfortunately, we do not give tours at this time. As a food manufacturer we are very cautious and diligent in our food safety practices, and although we would love to show people how our products are made, safety is our primary focus.

CAN I STILL PURCHASE IN-STORE?
Absolutely, our products continue to be available at all of our retail partners. This will not in any way disrupt your ability to purchase our baked goods at your local store.
WILL YOU BE BAKING THESE ITEMS IN YOUR DEDICATED GLUTEN-FREE FACILITY?
Yes! These items will all be baked in our dedicated gluten free bakery in Colorado. Our bakery is also free from dairy, tree nuts, peanuts, soy, and sesame. You can be sure these items are the same as our products sold in stores.
WILL YOU EVER OFFER SPECIALTY ITEMS THAT AREN’T AVAILABLE IN STORES?
Not at this time. We plan to offer almost all of the products available in our portfolio. This will be helpful for some fans who might not be able to find a specific product in a store near them.
ARE ALL YOUR PRODUCTS AVAILABLE IN YOUR ONLINE STORE?
Almost! All of our breads, bagels, English muffins, buns, and rolls will be available online in our new store except for our Multigrain 2-pack which is only available at certain Costco locations.

DO PRODUCTS COST MORE THAN BUYING FROM MY LOCAL STORE?
Prices will be comparable to what you find in stores except that you will need to cover a shipping charge if your order total is less than $40.00

CAN I CHANGE MY ORDER AFTER IT IS PLACED?
We cannot guarantee order cancellation, but requests can be submitted during normal business hours (8 a.m. to 4 p.m. CST) Monday through Friday. Orders ship immediately once they are received by our shipping department, making cancellation unlikely.
HOW DO YOU SHIP AND WHAT DOES IT COST?
UPS or USPS, the price will vary on basket size. We offer free shipping for over $40.
DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?
Not currently, just the Continental US only (No AK, HI, or PR)
CAN YOU SHIP TO A PO BOX or an APO/FPO address?
Unfortunately, we cannot at this time.
