Ingredients

Burger
  1. 1 Pkg. Canyon Bakehouse Brioche-Style HamburgerBuns (4 buns)
  2. 4 Beef or plant-based burger patties
  3. 8 oz. Mushrooms (cremini or portobello), sliced
  4. 1 Large onion, thinly sliced
  5. 4 Cheese slices (Swiss, cheddar, or your favorite)
  6. 1 C. Mixed greens (arugula, spinach, or lettuce)
  7. 2 Tbsp. Olive oil
  8. Salt and pepper to taste
Truffle Aioli
  1. 1/2 C. Mayonnaise
  2. 1 Tbsp. Truffle oil
  3. 1 Garlic clove, minced
  4. 1 tsp. Lemon juice
  5. Salt to taste

Directions

  1. Make the Truffle Aioli. Mix together the mayonnaise, truffle oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt in a small bowl. Set aside.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the sliced onions and a pinch of salt. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the onions are golden brown and caramelized about 20-25 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil.
  5. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they are browned and tender, about 8-10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  6. Season the burger patties with salt and pepper.
  7. Cook the patties on a grill or in a skillet over medium-high heat, about 3-4 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  8. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty and allow it to melt.
  9. Lightly toast the Brioche-Style Hamburger Buns on the grill or in a skillet.
  10. Assemble your burgers by spreading a generous amount of truffle aioli on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the cooked burger patty, caramelized onions, sautéed mushrooms, and mixed greens. Enjoy!
